What is CargoRotator?
Empty container trips are expensive, timeconsuming, need a lot of coordination and are even non-sustainable - that's where CargoRotator jumps in.
CargoRotator is an international B2B online-platform which connects transport & logistics companies offering them to book and manage empty container trips instantly on a need basis.
Here's an example:
- Company A uploads or enters manually its containers (type, size etc.) including the time of un-loading at a particular place - we call this the provisioning place & time.
- Company B searches for a container of a particular type and size which will be empty at a particular place & time. In our sample Company B is looking for a container near by the place and nearly at the same time of Company A's container.
- Company B places a request for this container to Company A (including details about their planned trip, its content etc.).
- Company A makes an offer to Company B.
- If Company B accepts it - they have a deal!
What are CargoRotator's advantages?
It's a win-win-situation for all participating companies:
- Cost reduction for empty trips
- Take-over of containers for limited costs
- Minimal effort since all container data can be uploaded via Excel-file, can manually be entered or (soon available) uploaded via API.
- All communication between both parties is reduced to the basics - our platform provides everything needed.
- Simple to use features with prepared answers - no long phone calls with many different questions and un-clarity about a decision.
- Only in case of a container deal is made - both parties will get the details about the other company. If one of both companies decides not to accept a deal, there'll be no marketing or question calls by the other one since they both don't know each other yet.
- The logistics & transportation area gets at least a bit more sustainable (due to the reduced empty trips)
Which are the requirements to participate on CargoRotator?
All participating companies need
- to supply at least a valid company address, a contact person, an email address and their valid VAT ID upon registration
- to be an officially registered company
- proof of company registration or certificate of registration - depending on the company's country
- proof of liability insurance cover
- proof of banking details
- proof of VAT documents
Can I participate as a private person?
No, a participation on CargoRotator is reserved for companies without exception.
A participation by a private person violates our Terms of use.
When and how do companies get details (address, phone, email) about each other?
As soon as a deal has been agreed upon by both companies - provided a price offer by one company and a deal acceptance by the other company - both parties automatically can recall all information about their deal partner.
Additionally, both parties can download a PDF file including all details about the corresponding company, the container route and the provision place & date.
When and how do companies pay?
CargoRotator is a marketplace which offers the service to connect companies and - when a deal was made between the companies - CargoRotator delivers the company details (e.g address, email, phone number) of both parties.
Therefore, both companies have to clarify any questions of payments on their own.
